Lakespeare is a not-for-profit independent theatre company committed to making high-quality Shakespearean theatre accessible to the people of Canberra, and to contribute to the cultural life of our city. Lakespeare productions create an atmosphere that brings families and friends together, allows all ages to engage with live theatre in a friendly environment, and connects the community to public spaces around Canberra. We do this with the generous support of the ACT Government, City Renewal Authority and precinct partner, National Triangle, as well as our partners and sponsors, and the generous donations of Shakespeare by the Lakes audiences.
