Jill Young   Vincentia

Jill Young (she/her) has been a passionate participant in Canberra’s musical theatre scene for the past decade, bringing her creativity and precision to roles both on and off the stage. Before that, she honed her craft overseas in straight theatre, including a memorable turn as Peaseblossom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream with the Royal Shakespeare Company’s schools program.

In Canberra, Jill’s versatility has seen her shine as a performer while also contributing behind the scenes as assistant director, stage manager, and production manager. Her passion for theatre extends beyond performance, with a commitment to fostering safe and authentic storytelling — she is currently studying intimacy coordination online in America, adding another dimension to her artistic toolkit.

Jill has even experienced Lakespeare from the other side of the curtain, working in ticketing and stage crew. Now, she is thrilled to step into the spotlight as part of the performing ensemble. With her blend of international experience, technical expertise, and heartfelt dedication to the craft, Jill brings both joy and professionalism to every production. She is over the moon to share with such talented artists that she is looking forward to learning from.
