Michael Cooper (He/Him) is a First Nations actor and a 2022 graduate of VCA. Over the duration of his study, he was awarded multiple scholarships, including the prestigious Pratt bursary which he earned for excellence. Theatre credits include Oskar in Tales from the Vienna Woods (dir. Mark Wilson), Jayma in Nathan Maynard’s new play 37 (dir. Isaac Drandic), Jason & Tyrone in Hand to God (dir. Jarrad West), Elon in Slutnik 2: Planet of the Incels (dir. Tansy Gorman). Recent Canberra credits include playing Young Man #4 in The Inheritance (dir. Jarrad West), the Interesting Man in Eurydice (dir. Amy Kowalczuk), Roland Maule in Present Laughter (dir. Karen Vickery) and most recently Zach in A Chorus Line (dir. Michelle Heine)
