Stage Manager
Disa Swifte

Disa Swifte (they/them) is a Canberra based theatre maker. They began their work in 2021 as an actor with Canberra Youth Theatre before branching out into backstage and technical roles. Over the past five years, Disa has worked as an actor, assistant stage manager, stage manager, production assistant, producer, technical operator, lighting designer, and more. They enjoy any role that brings new challenges and betters their understanding of theatre and what it can achieve. This is Disa’s first production with Lakespeare and they are excited to take on this opportunity, working with old and new friends and managing a show across multiple indoor and outdoor venues. Disa was one of the stage managers for the Multicultural Festival 2026 and will be the stage manager and lighting designer for Chaika Theatre’s The Deep Blue Sea which will open at ACT Hub on the 12th of June. Disa is employed at the Canberra Theatre Centre as one of their wardrobe staff and at Eclipse, Lighting and Sound as one of their technicians. In their spare time, Disa enjoys playing music and finding new arts and crafts projects which are more often than not, left unfinished. They hope you enjoy the show.
